Yoga for Cambodia is an initiative gathering yoga professionals and enthusiasts around a social cause carried by Anjali House, a Cambodian based NGO providing free education, food, basic care and family support to 120 underprivileged children and young adults from 5 to 19 years old.

Reliable and transparent, the NGO has been implementing educational activities for the past 10 years, runs an independent yearly audit of its finances and publishes an annual report on its website.

Anjali House ultimate goal is to see its students develop into healthy, well-adjusted young adults, equipped with the skills and support they need to enter the workforce and be successful in their future endeavors.

What to expect:

09:30 am : Arrival: getting ready for the class.

10:00 am – 11:00 am:Journey to the center
This 60 minute Hatha Yoga Inspired class designed to reconnect you to your breath, ignite your core and nourish your spirit. Expect some heat-building, heart-opening and hip-opening poses. Whether you’re completely new to yoga or have an advanced practice, there’s something for everyone in this multi-level class.

11:30 am -12:30 pm:Happy Neck and Shoulders
Ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? Well that just might be the case.This 60 minture Ashtanga yoga- inspired shoulder sequence is a great way to help flexibility and release build up tension from the day. This everyday shoulder sequence is a great way to help flexibility and release build up tension from the day.

From this 2 hour class you can take home ideas to get your own hips, core and open shoulders happy and keep your whole body healthy.

Parmeet and aleksandra are strong and passionate yoga practitioners whose teaching style is influenced by their background in Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga yoga. Their warm smile and exuberant personality welcomes you to practice. In their classes, you can look forward the safe and struggle-free environment they creates, along with a focus on breath work, careful sequencing and hands-on assistance.

You’ll need: comfy clothes, water bottle, yoga mat (or you can borrow one of ours) and an open heart! or even a blanket if you really want to drift off during our relaxing savaasana.
